Krokotiili - Crocodile

Ihan vallan muuta olin netissä surfaamassa, kun törmäsin termiin krokotiilivirkkaus. No, villieläimiähän täällä on tänä talvena lapannut, niin eiköhän joukkoon mahdu lisääkin.  Ohjeen kuuntelin YouTubesta, innokas mies siellä asiassa opasti mallia juurta jaksaen, joten virkkauskynnys ylittyi ja oli pakko kokeilla . Kätköistä löytyisopivasti kaksi kerää vaihtuvaväristä lankaa, josta aikoinaan piti tulla Taito-Uusimaan mallin mukainen lukunuttu - jäi vaiheeseen, kun oli tulossa liian pieni. Oheisessa askareessa on yksi kerä eli 50 g, koko on 17 x 20 cm.

Enemmän virkkausta harrastaville malli lienee tuttu, mutta jos ei niin video löytyy täältä.

 

I was looking for something totally unrelated to crocheting from the web, but ended up watching instruction on crocodile crocheting pattern. The young man on the video was so enthusiastic that my crocheting treshold was passed and I dug out a crocheting hook and some yarn from stash. Luckily I found some slow transitioning colour yarn similar to the one the man on the video was also using, as the pattern looks quite nices with almost every scale having a bit different colour. My outcome meausres 17 x 20 cm from one ball (50 g).
